Heart Screening
At the VFA Summer Games,
Athlete safety comes first.
Every registered athlete receives a complimentary ECG heart screening reviewed by our medical advisory team, including Dr. Samson. be detected during a routine sports physical.
What Is an ECG?
An ECG (electrocardiogram) is a quick, non-invasive test that evaluates the heart’s electrical activity.
It can help identify potential cardiac conditions that may not be detected during a routine sports physical.
What’s Included
- Complimentary ECG screening
- Physician review of results
- Direct parent notification
- Follow-up guidance if needed
Results Timeline
- Results are typically returned within 14 business days.
- To receive results before competition, registration must be completed by April 15, 2026.
- Screenings completed after April 15 will still be processed, however results may not be returned prior to VFA Summer Games.
